the perception of structured space.
the perception of structured space.
Introductory lessons in theory and practice which are geared towards high school and university students, as well as teachers.
Theme: movement in relationship to architecture. The choreographic composition of non traditional levels and in non traditional spaces. Goal: the body as an indicator of forms; an instrument for focusing one’s attention. Use of movement to strengthen our perception of a space beyond that of its canonical possibilities and the use of space as a new source of stimuli for the body. Method: through a physical, body-centred approach we will investigate themes related to architecture and the dynamic interaction with certain structures, beginning with a video presentation.
Geared for middle schools and high schools.
sculpture through the body and movement
This is a study on form through sculpture. Young people are very attracted to this subject and in these lessons we propose an activity of analysis and observation of certain modern works by such artists as Jean Arp and Henry Moore, The Thinker by Rodin or Arturo Marini, and Alexander Calder’s famous mobiles which play with equilibrium.
These forms will be re-elaborated through an interpretation of body and space.
Geared for middle schools and high schools.
AN.DA animal dance
This workshop begins with the study of animal movements in order to connect them with dance. It invites children to participate in a creative work on the body.
Animals are the theme of the workshop. The animal is a means for instilling and exercising in children an irresistible fascination. It is a unique intermediary didactic form for approaching the world of nature.
Geared for elementary schools and middle schools.
